Planting trees in Bavaria
Things are moving forward: In autumn 2024 we will plant our first trees in Bavaria.
New trees for Gefrees
It is a great pleasure that we can combine some tree sponsorship of different customers in a first tree project in Gefrees. We intend to plant up to 700 trees in the next 1-2 years. The selected tree varieties are: European beech and sweet chestnut to meaningfully supplement the intact population of spruce and pine for the future.
The distances to the forest area in Gefrees are as follows:
- Bayreuth: 25 km
- Kulmbach: 30 km
- Hof: 35 km
- Bamberg: 75 km
- Nuremberg: 110 km
The pictures on the left show the areas before (top) and after (bottom) the damage caused by bark beetle infestation. That is why a new mixed forest is now to be created.
